iAnnounce -- Information School Official Announcements
About iAnnounce	English (USA)
"iAnnounce" is the email listserv for news and official announcements from the Information School at the University of Washington. All students enrolled in the Information School are required to be subscribed to this list as many important notices and deadlines will be posted here. This is a moderated list which means that if you try and post a message here, the list moderator will first check that your message is appropriate. Only messages that deal with official school information will be approved and sent. If your message is more social in nature you might wish to post it to "iChat", the school's "chat" listserv. The "iChat" list is an open list and all postings are accepted there. If your message is related to a job you should send it to either "iStuJobs" (for student jobs), or to "iProJobs" (for professional jobs). Those lists both allow all postings as well. To send to one of the above lists, address your message to: listname@u.washington.edu For example to send to the "iChat" list you would address your message to: ichat@u.washington.edu If your message is regarding an event, all events should be added to the iSchool Calendar (go to ) rather than sent to iAnnounce directly. All events are emailed out weekly on Sunday. To see the collection of prior postings to the list, visit the iAnnounce Archives. (The current archive is only available to the list members.)
Using iAnnounce
To post a message to all the list members, send email to iannounce@u.washington.edu. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to iAnnounce
Subscribe to iAnnounce by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. UW community: If you have a computer account at the University of Washington, and you intend to subscribe to this list, change something about the subscription you already have, or access private list archives, please log in first. Once you have logged in, this page will automatically fill in your email address. For persons outside the UW If you do not have a UW NetID and want to subscribe, enter your email address and name (optional) below. A password will be assigned to you and sent to your email address.
