MessageGood practice last tuesday!  The Sayers Park worked out great with lake access only a few feet from the parking lot, a small beach to put in and lots of visibility.  We already had quite a bit of onlookers, and even a guy from South Africa(known for its excellent polo players), interested in playing.  Starting the tuesday after next we'll try to have regular games there.  I will be bringing an extra boat from now on for new players to use.  I would suggest those of you who have an extra boat bring it just in case if you can.  

Also, this attached email is from Dave A.   It looks like Sept. 10,11th will be fun and we will definately learn a lot from the Vancouver players.  Scott

Great news!!! The Canadians are coming, the Canadians are coming!!!

Talked with Ben from the Vancouver club and from emails received this morning, looks like we have a minimum of five polo guests to play and train with for the Heritage Row weekend. Thanks to Judy and Jill who have graciously offered some sleeping space for our honored guests. Currently looks like we'll be able to play some mixed games for the spectators, take a break for lunch and work on some skills in the afternoon. Sunday we could spend some more time learning some more polo secrets, play some and all meet for a barbecue Sunday afternoon!

On that note, let me know if anyone wants to practice in Gig Harbor this coming Sunday, the 21st.

    I am helping coordinate the Gig Harbor Heritage Row with the Historical Society on September 10th.  I wanted to see if the Polo club is interested in doing a polo demonstration again this year during the Gig Harbor Heritage Row at around 10:30am.  Last year, the Row spectators really enjoyed watching the polo players while the paddlers were completing the event.  



    In case you didn't attend the Row last year, it is really a fun day.  The event is open to any type of human powered watercraft and all skill levels.  There are two courses: a beginners "scavenger hunt paddle" within Gig Harbor, and an advanced paddle from Gig Harbor to Owen Beach and back.  After the paddles there will be live music, food, and festivities in Skansie Park.  Each participate receives a t-shirt, medal, and photo certificate.



    I hope to see the polo club there again this year.  Let me know if there is interest to participate.

    Hi----Some of us went for a paddle today & it was wonderful.  Let's get this polo game going.  Alex and I won't be able to participate  next week   We have lost our great location so for now we will try Jersch Park in downtown GH.
