Please see below that UW is hosting a Transfer Student Celebration Week this week! Check out the calender<https://transfer.uw.edu/stages/become-a-husky/transfer-student-celebration-week/info-page/> and join in events.

The Department of History is also joining a Transfer Student Information Session for all transfer students interested in studying history! Any transfer student is welcome, whether you are a first quarter student just beginning at UW or declared the major some time ago. We hope you will meet new students, meet both of us in advising and learn a bit about WIN 2023 course options and history resources. You may drop-in anytime during the hour.

Join us Thursday, 10/20, Drop-in 1 – 2 PM in Smith Hall 320.

We hope you are able to attend! If you aren’t able to attend this event, please feel free to make an appointment with one of us and we’ll talk through these options. You may make an appointment by clicking the appointment link below in our email signature.

Greetings, and welcome back to a new academic year! I hope everyone is enjoying the (unusually) warm and sunny weather in October!

I wanted to share with the advising community that UAA is hosting the second annual Transfer Student Celebration Week<https://transfer.uw.edu/transferweek>, October 17-21st. Please get the word out to your transfer students and join us in recognizing and celebrating them.

The week will feature student events, faculty and staff resources, transfer student pride stickers, zoom backgrounds, and more!

First Year Programs, MGH 120, has Transfer Advocacy Cards that you can pick up and display in your workspaces.
